Thank God! I think it came to a head and drained a little. That sounds gross, but I'm happy.

The abscess on my cat seems to be getting smaller, she's eating now, and she's letting me touch her. She is not in as much pain. After she settles down a bit more I'll wrap her up and look again. I plan to shave that spot, hopefully it will clean out easily, I'm thinking it might be a cactus needle that broke off under the skin.
At first I thought it was just a bee sting or something, but it got HUGE!

It might not be wise to treat it by yourself at home... a vet is better placed to help you should further complications kick in down the line from here.
