Do you identify requests to videochat as a means for some strangers to break into your world, or is it more friendly to agree to it?

I like video chats, it puts a face to people and develop a familiarity with them. I haven't had that many though, people kind of act sketchy online when it comes to more personal things. I don't blame them though, you never know who someone is, I can see their reasons but I like talking to people personally.

I think there's a big difference between a message saying 'hi babe wanna cam?' and someone you've known for months and chatted with extensively. Either way I'd be reticent if it's some I don't know offline because some weird people play the long game!

I agree with the previous comment, if it's someone you have chatted to over a long period then why not. See it as a natural progression in an on line relationship.

I have to know someone very well.
On the other hand, you never really know if you are chatting with a pretty lady or some old creeper
