If someone is rude to you, would you be rude back? And why?

Why can’t people just be nice and stop this rudeness?
Some people thought I was rude so they got rude to me back. Even kind hearted people have showed their “mean” side. That’s rude. My best friend doesn’t take crap from rudeness. She’s a kind person, but if someone is rude to her then she’ll be rude back. She believes in giving someone a taste of their own medicine...sometimes.

@SW-User It’s not nice to be rude. My best friend told me to not take crap from anyone and the problem is I don’t read people and I let people push me around and emotionally abuse me and yell at me. She said sometimes I have to be a “bitch” to tell a point. She told me to stop being nice and be a bit of a bitch.
