I do that often. I drive an old car, and it needs to be used daily to keep the battery alive. I do a random trip (usually an hour) each day, as I don't commute to work and back.

@Stereoguy Most of the time I do have fun. On boring stretches, body goes into autopilot mode and the mind drifts away.
The biggest issue is to find a road I haven't experienced yet. I enjoy the technical aspect of it, as well as the navigation.

@Stereoguy Not really. I travel in silence. The car radio uses casettes, and I only own CD's. I usually drive to enjoy the sights of moutains, and bendy roads.

@Lanyx My car was behaving in just the same way, until I asked my mechanic to replace the battery. They told me I actually needed a new alternator, and the battery was fine. They were right. I haven't driven in 3 weeks, and yesterday the car started right up. $700.00.
