Do your parents curse at you or around you?

I noticed my dad and his girlfriend curse around me a lot more than when I was a little girl. I first met her when I was 10.
Like my dad she is blunt and straightforward.
My dad said, “You’re not a little girl anymore anymore. You’re a young woman not. We can say this around you. You’re almost an adult.”
Why do they do that’s. They’re both straightforward and brutally honest.

@LaylaTheTallGirl I am ok with her being like that with me because I know she really cared for me I can sense it.I usually say ok but sometimes I have to disagree with her but I tell her nicely.We talk like friends.

@Teachocolate The face thing sounds rude. But I know they mean well. My sister told me, “I rather tell the blunt truth in your face than behind your back. Not trying to be mean but it’s better to be honest in someone’s face.”
