i might have A/C next week 70 $ for an 8000 BTU A/C unit

We don't have A/C in the UK as much as some placeslol. I just got a fan/humidifier though, you fill it with ice cold water and it blows cold air. Cheap and easy, effective. Fans just blow hot air around otherwise.
