What is the difference between copper and pewter?

Copper is an element, a pure metal. Pewter is an alloy, a mixture of tin and lead, or tin, copper and antimony.

@Elina15: An alloy is a mixture of two or more metals. An element is a single chemical substance that isn't a combination of other elements e.g. oxygen, hydrogen, copper

pewter is mostly tin with some other metals mixed in...

copper is just that... copper
