I’m nervous to go to the orthodontist

I need braces but I don’t want them I’m scared they’re going to make me ugly

They are virtually see through. Buck teeth are a whole lot worse and can result in more people making fun of you. I had braces when I was 15.

@Vgore0304 They should have informed you in advance that gaps do not always STAY closed after you have braces. I have a tiny gap between my front teeth, probably 1/8", and they managed to close it and then my teeth would move right back the way they were. They even sent me to an oral surgeon to slice the muscle between those two teeth. That didn't work, either.

So find out if they guarantee that the gaps will stay closed.

Did they not give you a retainer when they took them off @4meAndyou

@Vgore0304 Of course. My teeth are small, however, and my mouth slightly larger than the teeth...by 1/8".
