In your blog you asked:
I don't know how many take the same action I do.... but when I find something stressing me, I find that the best thing for me is to go to my workshop or office and break the problem/stressor down to it's least common denominator. Then "rebuild" the issue to better understand whatever that issue is. I think that is the 'engineer' in me that seeks to do that.
I'll be the first to admit that not much stresses me these days, I work for myself at my own pace and every project I accept has had a 100% deposit placed on it. In that regard I'm like JACK-IN-THE-BOX (the fast food place); I don't start it till it is ordered and paid for. The only real stress I have in my work is to ship on time and I give such long lead times on projects that I find most are shipped in less than half the time quoted. I learned a couple of years ago to say NO, and I do say it occasionally when the customers ask for something that appears "way out there and time consuming".
In my personal life, I am at the age where I don't have the day-to-day worries anymore. My kids are grown, and while the one I have left at home has "special needs", modern medicines and I are able to deal with whatever issue may arise without much drama. And I don't have the distractions of the daily grind that most people have to deal with. Yes I have the occasional appointment to ferry my son to or the occasional doctor's appointment... but working for myself allows me the luxury of being extremely flexible with my time.
What I do worry about more than I want to is my health... the virus is one issue, but I also have had a lot of my friends die in the past three years, some at ages you wouldn't typically expect a person to perish at ... and so I catch myself wondering if I am doing everything I can to stay as healthy as possible. But wondering does not always correlate to doing.... So I probably need to get better at focusing on some of those things.
You asked "How do I define happiness":
-Waking up on the green side of the grass every morning
-Knowing that no matter what the news at 6 tells me about the World's problems...my dog will still love me unconditionally.
-Having enough that I can occasionally share with the less fortunate.
-Laughing with my family. Both those here and those in Asia (Skype).
-Knowing that upon waking everyday I have purpose, and the drive to accomplish it.
When you’re feeling anxious and stressed, where do you go/what do you do?

Having some help in my life, having some care, or at least just having some company. In short, I am old and have no family.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Do stuff that makes you happy, take care of yourself, don't pay too much attention to what others think
