They wouldn’t be friends if they were
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
No....my friends are my friends. You are not disposable.
PhoenixPhail · M
I don't think anyone anywhere is disposable. Even if they serve only as bad examples, they're still useful.
Nobody37 · 31-35, F
I don't think just because you talk to someone regularly it makes them friends, friendship is something that grows over time and shared experiences.. So yes, most people I talk to online are disposable, as I am to them, I'm sure. The very, very few numbered ones I consider to be friends are not.
TheFlippantSide · F
Not all of them. But even in my real life, connections come and go. Sometimes things just fade away like that.
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
@TheFlippantSide that’s how life is in the big city. ;)
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Nope. They are very important to me. Many are real life friends now too. I don't keep the american ones inside the screen. We move outside it.

SW-User
Being honest, yes. Most are.

No, it’s not like that. I’m not good at bringing things off the screen and I’ll never hold tightly, but the names are all real people to me and the care is real and the thoughts and hopes for them are real and so will be the memories when life shifts us out of each other’s orbits again.
Hi darling.... I doubt if they are... but sometimes things change as we go on...

SW-User
I sure hope not. 🤗

I have regular ppl I interact with, but I can say I have maybe two ppl I pm and consider a friend. Disposable? No. I'd like to always converse with them, but if they suddenly ghost me, I'd have to just let it go at that.

SW-User
I don’t think so. I wouldn’t say they’re exactly equal to real life friends but I do value them.
poisonouscupcake · 22-25, F
not at all, they all mean so much to me and i love them with all my heart even if they don’t think the same of me
AmbivalentFriability · 26-30
They've been my best people.
StarLily · 51-55, F
To me they're not.
wackidywack · 26-30
Of course not

No, but I don’t think we will be lifelong friends.

I dont have a real attachment to anyone i met online, especially here. my natural paranoid self is not very compatible with the anonymous nature of this site. how can i feel attachment if theoretically everything they are saying could be a lie ? profile might say 30 year old woman and it might be actually a 50 year old man.
Paintedfox · 36-40, F
No they are not. I don't communicate like I wish I could because I have a whole life and Im fucked up in the head, but real friends are never disposable.
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
No, not at all! I've created a special bond with them, just as I have with some that I see everyday!
LAlexV · M
No. Not the ones i’ve kept.
ninjavu · 51-55, M
Not if they're real friends. The real friends I have met in person and they're still friends, some 25 years later. I've apparently been disposable a few times, but I have low expectations online anyway. 🤷♂️

No. However things sometimes get in the way and lives have a way of co
ing and going. That's true everywhere. Online it gets multiplied since we can't make a life on it.
