Yes. I left my husband and divorced him, and for a time I was afraid of him, afraid of what he would do, and depressed every time I thought about what my life with him became before I left.

@TexChik Many times...but not after I left him. I was [i]afraid[/i] that he would find me and...do something. He had so many gasoline cans in the basement, right next to the propane fittings underneath the propane stove...and the fumes were so heavy...it was just a matter of time until the house blew up. And stupid idiot that I am, I confronted him about the fumes and told him they were a fire hazard and he screamed...[i]screamed[/i] at me that I was under no circumstances to open the garage door or air the place out. I took that response to mean he wanted me to blow up while he was at work.

My helper, whom I hired to help me pack and clean simultaneously, came over that day and helped me carry the gas cans outside after he left. 13 of them. We left them in the driveway, opened the garage door and used two big fans to drive out the bad air. Believe me, I was holding my breath, thinking I would blow up when I used the auto door opener.

When the ex got home, do you know what upset him? That the NEIGHBORS could see all the gas cans.

I'm pretty stupid at times, but even I could figure that out.
