Their wealth!
Unlearn · 41-45, M
@spjennifer doesn't make sense. If one was concerned with acquiring wealth leftist ideology is what they should go for.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@Unlearn Tell that to your Billionaire Prez and his rich buddies!
HeteroDox · 41-45, F
@spjennifer So why arent you wealthy? All of my financial security I earned for myself; no govt assistance, no benefits. I don't owe anyone anything.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@HeteroDox And what pray tell tells you that I'm poor? I've worked for 45 years and am comfortable with my status in life. Unlike many, I too have earned the roof over my head and my nice car and have no debts but I'm not greedy like tRump and his ilk, no one needs Billions of dollars to live well, for guys like him it's all about the power that much wealth provides them with and they'll do whatever they can to "conserve" it.
HeteroDox · 41-45, F
@spjennifer but who are you to say they don't deserve the fruits of the business savvy? You call Trump greedy, but what makes you better? If you believe that he should give away his billions, practice what you preach. He no more owes you explanation how how he went about that acquisition than you owe me. Conservatism isn't greed purest, mon ami, its about maintaining the most viable and realistic system with resources possible.
There are plenty of systems only too happy to redistribute your resources whether you want them to or not.
Out hipocrite in Ottawa is himself a trust fund baby. Has never held actual toil for employment. Hes only too happy to distribute what you earn and I earn and you earn and never spend a cent himself imposes HIS values upon Canadians who do.

@HeteroDox Whoa, I never said he didn't deserve his wealth now did I? I only said that what drives him and his kind is the accumulation and conservation of said wealth. I also never said he "should give his wealth away", I only said that no one needs Billions to live comfortably. No he doesn't owe me any explanations personally but he perhaps does to all of the people he's screwed over with his multiple fake bankruptcies over the decades. Not going to begin a debate over our Canadian PM here as it's not what was asked, also tbh I think he's doing a relatively decent job in light of the current circumstances even if I don't agree with all of his policies.
HeteroDox · 41-45, F
@spjennifer Your prerogative for any support a person abusing his powers as PM.
The methodology to business has rarely been "fair" to the successful people; there no requirement to be ethical. My question is "what gives you any right to judge Trump?" I personally dislike him but not because of his presidency; he was elected as there is no denying the people had spoken about the issues caused by the previous administration.
If your issue is greed, my advice to look inward first. You want to give away your resource, be my guest. I make no apologies for being finacially successful, and if you don't perhaps youre more conservative than you tell your mirror.

@HeteroDox Oh, i won't dispute his election as he did apparently win that but his personality is questionable and the populace should have seen that before they elected him. I DO judge him as a person by how he treats women and individuals who he considers beneath him! I am one of those who believe there should be ethics in business and not only the accumulation of wealth at any cost as the sole driving force, no matter who gets harmed in the process. I have no issues looking in the mirror as any wealth I've accumulated has not been at the expense or the well being of others so no, I don't feel the need to give it all away, I earned it.
HeteroDox · 41-45, F
@spjennifer tres bien, then not so.liberal after all
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@HeteroDox tbh, in the past couple of decades there hasn't been that much difference in the philosophies of both parties in Canada, they go back and forth and copy each other and then condemn each other for making the same stupid mistakes they both make when in power. Our Southern cousins however have gone to almost extremism in trying to differentiate themselves from each other to the point where neither of them represent the majority of their populations on either side and I wonder at what point there could be another civil war there...
