I know staying home in lockdown is being a hero and not spreading the disease but what can I do if it takes over a year?

I am asking the same question.Put quite simply I cannot live the rest of my life devoid of all the things I enjoy and any social contact. But I keep reading that is what has got to happen.Well I am happy to join the revolution that I remain convinced will happen.

Where I live right now is permitting LIMITED social contact. The general concensus is, if you wear a mask in public and a distance of six feet apart from the next person, then more power to you and go for it. This isn't perfect, but it's better than nothing, as long as you are not sick yourself. The mayor of Chicago has arrested people who are in groups of 10 or more - regular partygoers. One such group was at a wedding with a full church congregation and reception.

Even me, living in this apartment complex, is limited to a distance of six feet when talking to a neighboring resident, and a mask in our laundry area, elevator, and lobby and all public areas.
@MaryJanine I live alone and I am not allowed to go out with anyone or have anyone here. And I have no idea where I could buy a mask if we had that implemented here. But we need to start doing something because there are limits to everyones patience.i think six feet is the same as two metres!

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I think your two metres is correct. I live alone, too, except for the residents around me in different apartments of the building, and no one comes here except by invitation and need (the day I moved in two months ago). After that, no one but the janitor comes up. Masks went into effect here to prevent the spread of sickness on the public street.
