How do you feel when someone deletes your reply to their question?

I answered a question in a polite and factual manner. I then complimented and thanked them for their sentiments although I had disagreed with how they'd worded the first part. It was, in my opinion, impossible to do. They promptly deleted.
I then noticed they'd deleted another's reply. *sigh
I find that a little annoying and quite childish actually.

I just don't comment on any more of their posts. 😔But if I have a serious comment and get goofy or mean spirited replies, I'll delete them too.

I delete 15-20 comments every day

I do no recall the last comment I wrote that was deleted

But, I do reserve most of what I write to posts by friends and my posts

Do I feel bad about deleting comments?

Do I delete comments because I disagree?

I delete comments because people use posts to express insults and thoughts that are out-of-scope ... that they could not get people to read otherwise.

Well it's really their post and they can do what they want, whether we like it or not. I just quietly move on so I don't get blocked.

@JoePourMan I insider it “tweaking” my feed so that I can avoid that. And conversely , when someone is being nasty on one of my posts , I tell them I am deleting their hate speech . 😉

I don't know if I ever remember seeing that someone had deleted my response but have seen entire posts get deleted after I replied and my comment was hearted or even replied to.

I try not to worry about it but I can also see where it can hurt your feelings if they deleted just your reply.

@rjc36 It's quite common for entire posts to be deleted. My feelings weren't hurt at all, I just found it annoying and childish. My reply wasn't the only one deleted.

It doesn't bother me because it usually only happens when I'm replying to a pedo scumbag or some other piece of trash.. but then most of the comments of others are usually being deleted too, so i don't feel completely rejected! 😂

If I'm polite and they delete assuming I haven't been mean, I just think it's projection. It's more likely they just didn't want to hear an opposing opinion or something you said really got to them, even though it was just criticism.
