Do you feel it is safe to start opening the country or do you think we need to wait a little longer?
Do you feel it is safe to start opening the country
Yes.
It's planned step by step - coordinated by governors closer to their own situation.

Seems to me Trump is handling this perfectly -
and ironically, hands off!

@Budwick If only he could have these perfect ideas BEFORE he runs his mouth.

Trump: "I am the supreme being that can make my subjects bow to my total authority and do whatever I tell them to do."

Governors: "Ummmm, no."

Trump: "I will work closely with each state governor to make sure their state's return to normalcy is done effectively and in a reasonably safe manner."

@Budwick if there were one shred of evidence that you could trust the decision making....

@Picklebobble2 His record of success is astounding.

@SW-User
"I am the supreme being that can make my subjects bow to my total authority and do whatever I tell them to do."
Words never spoken. Total hyperbole.
"I will work closely with each state governor to make sure their state's return to normalcy is done effectively and in a reasonably safe manner."
Actually said and enacted.

@Budwick All quotes I provided were equally hyperbolic and sarcastic. But the general tone in all cases was quite accurate.

Man I bet that had to make your skin crawl hearing your favorite superhero go after those rights of states. I imagine you broke a sweat. I'm happy for you that he walked it back.

No, I knew it would be grabbed and made into a talking point.

@Budwick Grabbed? It was like watching a cooking show where once he is all finished he cries out "Free samples for the whole audience!". No one has to grab any talking points with Trump. He serves them up himself and then just pretends they don't exist when they bite him in the ass.

But man...like I said....to see him attack the very thing you've preached about nonstop that he would be the one to protect. Total authority by the President over states' rights. I do believe that Trump loves him the idea of a big central government.

@SW-User Did you miss what happened the following day?
Or, are you only able to obsess over a spoken error?
SW-User
@Budwick A spoken error...😂 It's not like he slurred over a couple words. He got pissy that state governments decided to stand up for themselves and protect their citizenry. You should be proud of heroes like Cuomo and Newsom that are ready to stand with their people and smack a dictator in the face with the constitution. I'm just glad someone was there to point out the 10th Amendment to Trump since he obviously hasn't read a word of it 😌

@Stereoguy
greed over life's
LIVES - the plural of life is LIVES.

Greed? Allowing the general population to enjoy some semblance or normality is greed?

You know, you're not FORCED to go to the beach and gape at the girls.
You can just stay with your sticky magazines if that's what you want to do.
