In the grip of a pandemic you Don't get to make those kinds of decisions.

Because there's a very real risk that what you think you've just survived can come back at you 10x worse if this particular version of it is able to evolve.

I know it's tiresome and expensive and annoying but America of all places knows what happens when pockets of disease are 'fed' by folk not keeping away and then taking it elsewhere.

Just look back at your early settlers history.

@Picklebobble2 If it is anything to go by Wohan opend up after 12 week lockdown and thye've had a 50% rise in cases.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 Quite likely but i'd take any Chinese info with a pinch of salt at the moment.
They're playing the same game Trump is.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 Yes I know but they have no reason now to hide it so it goes to show that you can't just lift the lockdown just like that and go abck to normal, this is going to take months.

Trump an Boris (hiding again) want it to be just as it was

@milkymum1 More fool us if we allow it to go back to how it was !!
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 I know, amd I'm sure after each pandemic before this one people said the same then but with leaders like Trump and Boris who are just thinking of the GDP and thier own agenders rather than what's best for their citizens it will sadly go back.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 If you can't judge leaders by their ability to improve a nation you can certainly judge their actions in times of crisis.
And since both Johnson and Trump seem to have followed the
wait and see
course of action at the expense of huge numbers. I'd think twice before voting for either!
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 I'm glad I didn't vote for Boris and his party lies. Every person that voted for him have to take responsibilty for what is happening now as they knew what Boris was like and he's lived up to it through this crises.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 Well to be fair I think Boris would have been extremely dangerous if he'd been able to follow through on his intentions post-election whitewash. But the fact he's been derailed in that sense and forced into having to cope with a different problem is showing you how he leads in time of crisis.
That can be more revealing !
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@milkymum1 never heard so much rubbish statement , who voted for Boris must take responsibility, then same for who voted Blair and his lies about WMD all the life's been lost in that war and still now, I like reading your posts and respect them , but that statement is so wrong
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 Yes that is so very true but this is probably when he and the tories are at the worst as they can try and sneak things through.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Nyloncapes Of course they should, and the same with Blair and his WMD and the war with Iraq, until people start to take responsibity whith who they vote in nothing will change.

What I find amazing is people don't take ANY responsiblity for anything anymore.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@milkymum1 so when the election was on and people voting everyone knew about this coronavirus
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Nyloncapes Oh het a life, you go on the persona dn the party your voting for and the History of that person and party. People knew full well when they voted for Boris they voted for a lier and someone who runs awayè from responsibility, so yes they should take some responsibulty for this mess.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@milkymum1 tell me what party has not lied, and kept there promises in there manifesto when trying to get elected , just tell the people what they want to hear, none of the party's are any good at the moment
