Not beauty salons or daycares. Which is odd.
And restaurants are allowed to be open to take out customers.

I'm in Seattle, so pretty much ground zero for the mass hysteria. Everything is essentially shut-down. I still have both my jobs miraculously, albeit at reduced hours. Fine by me since the weather's nice and I've been meaning to go out more with my dog

@TinyViolins I saw Seattle airport on the news tonight - it was totally deserted

@BalmyNites @NigelDoes I'm so damn insulated, I've made no changes whatsoever to my life in response to this thing and I'm in the epicenter of it all

@TinyViolins I think you will soon, we all will

Schools are closed; that’s mandatory.
A lot of people who can (including me) are working from home. Mr. Kat still goes to his office, but they don’t have a lot of onsite people in the first place.
Most restaurants are doing takeout only, and some stores are open limited hours. I’m not sure if that’s mandatory, or just people being cautious.
I didn’t leave the apartment at all yesterday. I NEED to get outside for some fresh air and a little walk, so later today I’ll walk to our mail box area and check the mail.

Nope. I'm at work right now, it's a hairdressing salon. Nobody will shut up about it and our procedures have changed. We are sanitizing everything constantly and if someone has been travelling we have to turn them away, other than that buisness as usual but the supermarkets are empty and I'm pissed off cause I wasn't one of the people that did that, now I need groceries

They are starting to put limits in some stores on milk, bread and eggs so other people can have some too!😎I was so glad to see that. People are being told to stand at least 6 feet away from people if they can. Many of the shelves in the stores are empty. People are asked to stay inside if they can.

I work at a federal facility we don't close for Jack especially when I'm the security manager

Yep. Hospitals are now doing outdoor triage in tents and the national guard is moving on to major highways to "slow down" interstate travel across the border.

Same in our town as of Monday night
Only carry out or delivery from restaurants too
Malls have closed
Stores have cut back hours
It’s getting scary

Just the salons are open which makes no sense when your doing someone's manicure and they're right up in your face BREATHING on you.
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
@SkeetSkeet that is strange indeed.
SkeetSkeet · 100+, F
@NigelDoes the only reason I can think to why they are still open is because we are independent contractors 🤷♀️
