@4meAndyou I was wondering if snob meant more aloof and posh meant appearing to originate from a wealth background.
Lots of people call me posh but I'm not at all. I'm probably earning less than they do!

@LilPuckBunny Many people with less wealth are intimidated by those who appear to have more. "Snob" is probably the nicest thing they would call you, from their jealousy.
I know that when I was in high school, my VERY poor grandmother sewed me a beautiful skirt and tunic of houndstooth check wool, and that is what my peers took from it...that I must be wealthy because I could afford to have that skirt and tunic. And folks who are the subject of jealousy, well deserved or not, usually tend to be more quiet.
