Most poisonous spider here can kill a black window easily. Yet since it can't bite humans it's harmless...

@DeWayfarer I have heaps of them in my room right now lol...they must be protecting me 😀🕷

@MushroomFaerie probably! Not certain here yet I think I have heard they are the most poisonous spider in the world.
@DeWayfarer that's outrageous, I'm scared of spiders but the daddy long legs is so goofy I find him very unthreatening and I always leave them alone lol

@MushroomFaerie Probably the best spider to have around. Sort of like you should never bother king snakes either. They kill rattle snakes.
@DeWayfarer lol no snakes here thank gosh
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MushroomFaerie one of the most dangerous snakes here is a Southern Pacific rattler....
Both neurotoxin and poison.

@DeWayfarer yuck, my animal brain and the fear kicks In looking at the first one

@DeWayfarer oh do they kill red backs? That's good to know. There's a few in the bathroom as well haha. I just ignore them ones.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@SeductiveCactus possibly. I am not dead certain on a red back. I'm not familiar with it, unless it's also called a black window. Does it look like the one on the left in the first image?
SeductiveCactus · 26-30, F
@DeWayfarer yeah I'm pretty sure it's the same spider but in Australia it's redback. Or they're not he same family something like that haha.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@SeductiveCactus they are cousins. Your redback spiders do have slightly more venom than a black widow. Apparently not by much.
Did some looking though. And came across several videos for either case: Daddy long legs VS Redbacks.
Apparently they are pretty much an even match. Yet I suspect a few male daddy long legs were used. That would make it an uneven match since like with both species the females eat the males.
Don't know what to say here. The "female" daddy long legs (females are much larger than males) might be of help. Otherwise, as I seen with the males, it's either dead even or the male daddy long legs are the losers.
