If you lost a job today would the money you have on you or in the bank last you a while?

Bank money would last 3 months, my husband has a backup stash for emergency machinery repairs, it would last much much longer, it's enough to repair forestry equipment, but I'm not allowed access to it or even to know wher it is, but our autistic son knows where it is :(
