If they were my only two choices McDonald's. I think there are better benefits available and greater room for advancement to a managerial position. Plus I believe it's respected more when seen on a resume.
And though I cannot confirm, I don't believe I have heard of McDonald's employees in the US working close to full-time hours and still having to collect food stamps. I did read an article on that regarding employees of Alice Walton's company.
