How can I be assured I’ll get paid?

I do Rover- a dog sitting service. I recently boarded a dog through the app. The money goes to my PayPal after a few days after the service is done. The owner asked for my personal number and wants to set another week of boarding in a couple of weeks. But she doesn’t want to do it through Rover because a percebes he of the money doesn’t go to me but Rover. Should I ask for half the fee on the first day and the other half when she is picking up her dog? Or is that rude?

Insist you go through Rover. I imagine there's insurance and security and such. You'll also have a receipt, and proof of appointment.

If he thinks you deserve more, he can pay you more.

Once he becomes a regular [say 5 times] and you feel you can trust him then go outside of Rover only if YOU are comfortable.

Hold firm on this even if it means losing his business. Its fishy.
