It depends how close I am.

If I am very close then stopping isn't safe.

That's why they don't have just green snd red

I decide depending on the situation.

I make a calculation as to whether or not I can get at least half the car in the intersection before it goes red and then slam the gas to see if I’m right 😂

Depends on the speed limit and the speed I am doing. Any speed limit here in the US of 45 mph or higher has to have a 4 second yellow light.
