It's circumstantial.... Sometimes 10 sometimes zero also...

Money brings a psychological effect that gives you a sense of security when it comes to paying bills and dealing with any kind of emergency. That means a lot less to worry about, which can act as a catalyst to happiness.

@SW-User exactly. I didn't want to go into details and answer my own question...that and it allows for vacation which is something I've never had

It definitely lowers stress levels. You don’t have to do jobs you don’t want to. You don’t have to hangout with idiots. You don’t have to share your room and if you are at the high end, you can fly in your private space without being around a lot of annoying people. @iamnikki

10. If I had all the money in the world I'd have the freedom to do things I've always wanted to

I could be literal about this and say zero, because I don't have any money, but then I still seem to be happier than a lot of people who do!

It brings a feeling of security, happiness comes from doing things I love

the only people who say money doesn't bring happiness are the ones that have never gone without it...
I for one would say that I'd be pretty happy were I on my yacht, anchored next to my private island, lying on the deck soaking up some rays sipping a mai tai without a care in the world... 🤔

Money is not everything but it is an important part of our lives. Health is wealth🙂

I'm broke as heck, so as of right now it would probably be 10.

Money itself does not bring happiness, but not having it sure does bring a lot of misery. I'd say money enables happiness by providing security and opportunity. But it's still on us to create it. Lot of miserable folks with plenty of money.

I'd put it somewhere around the same... around 6-7.
It does have diminishing returns, but in my current situation it would certainly improve my day-to-day happiness. Feeling like I have security and actual added overhead when bills are paid would go a long way.

I can't rate that on a scale. Money doesn't necessarily buy you happiness but it sure can help towards it, at least until a certain amount. Too much money doesn't lead to more happiness and often it leads to unhappiness.
Too little money often leads to unhappiness but also not necessarily so.
