I celebrated the Seder on Passover.
If someone invites you to the service then it sounds very legitimate way to celebrate.

@Dan193 I remember Chanukah being an event when God remembered the Jewish people by providing fuel for the lights when there was no other provision of light. I know that these remembrances are very important and I think a Christian could easily feel comfortable.

@Pfuzylogic right, I think that's the reason why that would be the only other religion I could participate in.

@Dan193 I agree that there is a reality that Faith is built on and that a self check is good for personal integrity.

It’s nice to want to experience something new. I’m Jewish but I still do Christmas stuff with my friends 🤷♀️ I think it would be fun to include them as well.

@MorbidCynic What would u say are the most basic things to get and do for hanukkah?

I'd say "Good!"
I'd credit him or her with being rather more Christian than many who claim to be Christian...
Anyway, why not? Think of the religion's earliest history: its founders, like Jesus himself, were Jews; so why not help celebrate a Jewish celebration?
A lot of religious people, including senior clergy, are rather more ecumenical than the claimants in my first statement may realise.

Why not? I like Christmas and I'm not Christian.
Indy74 · 46-50, F
Not a thing. It's their business.

I think that's normal. My family is Christian but we still celebrate Hindu festivals as our ancestors did.
