Is it easier to be a single parent?

Like if you had money and weren't dependent on your spouse's salary.
Because you could grow the kid however you wanted and wouldn'd have to listen to a second opinion or go to compromises, etc.

Not at all. I am not sure if I qualify as a single parent but I do have four youngsters under my legal guardianship and I provide for them.

Keeping an eye on every single one is lot of work. Paying for their education costs a lot..Guiding them and figuring out what's best for them can be very consuming. I'd not trade it for the world though. I love them.

Sometimes I do ask them if their lives were better with their parents and they say "no". I can never tell if that answer is a matter of providing them opportunities or my influence. Oh, and I do listen to second opinions, I don't know everything.
