Is it easier to be a single parent?

Like if you had money and weren't dependent on your spouse's salary.
Because you could grow the kid however you wanted and wouldn'd have to listen to a second opinion or go to compromises, etc.

Raising a child is a 24/7 job if you want a well raised, well adjusted little human. It's more work than having a dog or growing the most fragile plant or having pristine white carpet in the living room. A child needs both parents and some good family, good friends, good community. It's not best for the average child to have only one parent especially speaking of gender influences and the repercussions.
