Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@Lostpoet And she's only 41.
Lostpoet ยท M
@Cavedweller she was probably taking Advil or something

RubySoo ยท 56-60, F
I hope shes ok now.
I have experienced slurring and becoming aware that the sounds leaving my mouth were not the things i was trying to say. It was followed by an intense migraine. Ive been told by the doctor it was caused by the migraine. Its really quite frightening when it happens...its happened to me 3 times.

I hope yr pal makes a speedy recovery. X
RubySoo ยท 56-60, F
@Cavedweller about an hour i guess. The first time it happened i was teaching. I was sat with a child and he was looking at me very puzzled and although i knew what i thought i was saying....i could hear my words mixed up and slurry. The boy asked if i was ok. I had no headache at that time. My vision normally goes weird with the onset of a migraine but on this occassion that didnt happen. A friend drove me the the hospital but the doctors said it was just a different sympton of migraine.
Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@RubySoo That's awful. To hear yourself slurring etc and not being able to correct it.
RubySoo ยท 56-60, F
@Cavedweller yes....it is scary. I happened last week actually. I took my meds and managed to keep the headache at bay. Im so pleased it doesnt happen often. X
nedkelly ยท 61-69, M
well done, but I would have stilled called the ambulance
Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@nedkelly Her boyfriend lives a two minute drive away from her. Quicker than an ambulance. He took her to hospital quick smart.

I am so sorry for your friend. I'm also sorry you had to go through that. At least she got the help she needed in the proper amount of time. I'm glad she is recovering well. Best wishes and healing to her.
SW-User
@Cavedweller I can imagine it was. You seem to have handled it very calmly!
Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@SW-User It's just how I'm wired. I tend to keep a cool head in times of crisis.
SW-User
@Cavedweller that's always a great thing to have. I envy that!!๐Ÿ‘๏ธ
SW-User
Very scary! Good thing you were talking to her at the time and were able to call someone for help. Well done.๐Ÿ‘
Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@SW-User Her boyfriend was the real champion, persuading her to be taken to hospital.
SW-User
@Cavedweller If you didn't call him, she might be dead. You both are champions. ๐Ÿค—
Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@SW-User Thanks, Harry. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@BoobooSnafu I've done first aid courses and lots of my family is in health care..
@Cavedweller see... You know.

But if someonw doesn't - they can just get confused.

My comment was meant to be a compliment - I'm sorry if it sounded it degrading.
Cavedweller ยท 46-50, F
@BoobooSnafu Degrading? How so? I didn't take it that way..
