Do public people have a right to keep their private life unrevealed?

By public people I mean politicians, sportsmen, actors, singers, businessmen, celebrities.

In an ideal world ?
Sure.
But we don't live in an ideal world. Do we ?
Personally I think if you intend to put yourself out there. You have to expect folk to dig up all the dirt on you.
Now, if you can confront that dirt and say...."Yep, I made that mistake ! Or even, it seemed like a good idea at the time !
At least some folk might look at it and say well, at least he/she's honest enough to admit their failings !
But to act dishonestly. To try and hide the way you live your life in order to continue making money/earning a reputation, that may well be a false one. That's deceitful.
You then have to look at their motives for doing so!!

This world is very far from an ideal world, I know. Facts like this lack of separation remind me why it sucks big time
