By public people I mean politicians, sportsmen, actors, singers, businessmen, celebrities.

They could if they had better conduct or genuinely felt they were servants of the people

So for you being a genuinely servant means that your private life has to be monitorized to watch they do not say or do anything unappropiate, even if it is absolutely legal?
Peaceful · F
@Cierzo: our private lives are completely monitored. I also post publicly with my own name speaking about things that make me vulnerable but heals many. Again, it's where are heart and intention is
Cierzo · M
@Peaceful: I hate that they are monitorized. When I post something here, I know SW users may read it. But nobody else should. The opposite is a dictatorship not unlike those in the former communinst or nazi regimes.
Peaceful · F
Watch the Snowden movie or Citizenfour. You are monitored too. But getting past this nanny state, why can't we raise ourselves up enough to not have anyone make claims against you?
Cierzo · M
@Peaceful: I wonder why. Because we have brainwashed that 'safety' means more than anything, I guess.
Peaceful · F
@Cierzo: if we are impeccable with our words and actions, it doesn't matter, just my humble opinion
Cierzo · M
@Peaceful: We are not impeccable. We are human. Sometimes we do things we should not do.
We have laws to tell us which of those things should not be acceptable
Peaceful · F
@Cierzo: you misunderstand. Impeccable to me, isn't fear of what someone thinks of me. It's how I sleep at night. Huge difference
Cierzo · M
@Peaceful: Sorry I misunderstood you. I agree with that
