Does your significant other have anything in common with you?

I want me and my girlfriend/wife to have common interests but bough differences that we don't get bored with each other. I imagined her as liking Astronomy, Classic Rock, and Video Games. I pictured her favorite video game franchises as being Zelda, Sonic, Mario, Lara Croft, maybe Final Fantasy, and Warcraft. I want us to have differences outside of Astronomy, Classic Rock, and Video Games.

I like to call my fiancé, the male version of myself.
We have a lot in common, to the point it almost seems uncanny.

@KatherineR I wouldn't mind being with a girl that has those same interests but reads books series that I don't read and watches TV shows that I don't keep up with. Even if she's into sports that wouldn't be so bad, even though I'm not a sports fan.

Neither of us are sports fans. We are both huge bookworms, and if it were up to us, we would sit around all day doing nothing, but playing chess.
We studied the same exact thing in college, and we are now coworkers.

We are both only children. And neither of us want kids in the future. (When we found out that we shared that in common, there was a minute where I thought he was playing some sick joke.) 😂

That, plus many other things.
