In this world, rich people can buy extended lives for themselves and for their babies who might otherwise die. Adult body parts have been sold for a long time, and there is a black market business in such sales, simply because there are not enough organ donors.
It is okay to be an organ donor,and it is okay for parents to donate the organs of their babies if their babies die. It is NOT okay for disreputable medical personnel to steal those organs and sell them without permission.

@4meAndyou Marking yourself as an organ donor on your driver’s license might get your life ended sooner than necessary. I have read stories of that. And there are cases of people being declared dead when they really weren’t, they came back to life at a wake. I worked with a woman who’s little sister died & they were having a wake and she woke up.

@cherokeepatti I am not too worried. I do know that because you are an organ donor, you are declared dead a little sooner than you might be otherwise, and if you have a DNR on your paperwork they might begin removing organs quickly after death has been declared. But I have only heard one story of a "dead" girl sitting up and screaming when they cut her during her autopsy.
