Should I stop being friends with my alt-right buddies, serious question?

Abandon them as friends
Do not abandon your friends, that won't make them not racists

I'm not for dropping someone as a friend for having a difference of opinion, but I would expect POC to stand up for me if one of them treated me like trash, so shouldn't I give consequences to bigots of my tribe? Some of these dudes are honestly mislead and truly believe a white ethno-state is the only way to save their race, so I have compassion for them (even tho it is awefully damn stupid to fall for that) but how will society change if we don't hold people accountable?

I mean, it's easier for me to be like "look, they are lost so just be compassionate" but what if someone wanted to deport me and my family, i'd probably think differently. What do you think? My cousin who is alt-right (even tho he's part mexican himself lol) deleted me off all social media and only sees me at family gatherings because he views me as a race traitor. You wanna know what the final straw was? I said "Egypt was one of the greatest civilizations and they were not white". Funny, the egyptian guy I was defending then turned out to be racist towards me

I'd argue that they really don't have a moral responsibility one way or the other, even assuming that these guys are actually racists turds. Racism is very evil, of course, but abandoning racists for being racists will likely just cause racists to retreat into little alt-right communities, which isn't really an improvement. I'd only ask that you stand up for PoC when possible.

@AgapeLove Yeah, I tend to think there's really just very little you can do about it.
