Has anyone ever spiritually fasted?

If you have, How did you start it off? Did you stop eating a certain time the day before and ended it at the same time? How many times did you pray in a day? Did you drink water? How long did you go?

I fasted only 40 hours one time but it was a spiritual fast and I was immediately tested when my brother made a peach cobbler at the very beginning of it!

@Pfuzylogic I bet that sucked. I’m looking forward to something like that happening. I just don’t want to fast nowhere near thanksgiving
