Men kill themselves at higher rates than women

Because of toxic masculinity other men look down on them for showing any sort of emotion or weakness

It's because they use more violent methods of suicide. Women actually have higher rates of depression and attempt more often. Men just succeed more often. They use guns, they jump off of buildings, things that are typically fatal.

@SW-User do you have the source for That?,

I was gonna cite them formally, but this is probably more convenient. I made sure they were free so that you could view them without making a payment.

@SW-User
Material/Methods
The study was conducted among persons who attempted suicide by various methods and were admitted to hospital. The study population comprised 147 participants (33 males and 114 females) aged between 14 and 33 years.
So we compare 33 men to 114 women and the women had more attempts, wonder why

They used a Mann-Whitney “U” test to account for that. It says that on the article. I don't know if you know what that is, but it tests the null hypothesis that two samples come from the same population. If this is unsatisfactory, you can easily find more data that shows the same thing, or at least something similar. It's pretty consistent.

@SW-User why the vast differences in male participates and female participates? Seems like they could have chose 33 of each, and had a way more accurate study. Add to that men are less likely to open up about it,
SW-User
@Unequal2Trash I wouldn't know. Possibly. Men do tend to just close up and not talk about stuff. The people in the study were volunteers, so they couldn't exactly choose. Using the U test accounts for the sample, so it isn't exactly any less accurate than having the same number. Either way, they used a chi square goodness of fit test, so that determines if it matches an entire population.
