I love being trash talked by my parents it's wonderful. Though it is nice to know that my brother defends me.

When you are from a family of super successful people anything less than that is failure and is open to trash talking. I guess my father had said to my brother I wish your brother [that's me] would have told us he never wanted to go to college.

Well one I was never given an option. I had to go to college it was non negotiable. Number two I dropped out so I could party and pursue celebrity status which didn't happen.

As a result of never finishing and not having a good career or high powered job or any sort of status I'm the family loser. It's open season on me I guess. I am grateful that my older brother does defend me and informs me of any verbal lashings I get from family.

Poor you ,,
My Dad was ousted from his family fortune over the woman he chose to marry
I was disowned for not voting how Grandpa told me to ,,
We lived ,and I went on to be very successful on my own
and I did it with a disease eating my spine ,,
My revenge is I have a lot of college grads under my belt that I sent to college ,,and they wanted to go ,they had a choice
I wanted them to have the life I was denied
Grandpa was right about my Mom ,she did ruin my Dad
but that was his choice to make ,,I have a lot of respect for my Dad
at least he lived his convictions
When we brag about the "money" we come from ,,we devalue ourselves
I may not have the family home that is a historical landmark
and my cousin the bank president may not ask me out to dinner ,,
I can say with pride ,,,I made my own ,,and I did it my way

My Grandpa's both of them said they were proud of me before they died
My Dad said I was the reason he was born ,,I would do more then he ever did
and he helped put men on the moon ,,without Grandpa's money

I am proud of my heritage ,,but that was their success
I made my own

Make something of yourself and show them as my Grandpa used to say
"there is more then one way to skin a cat "
