Is being a good pitcher in baseball any less important than being a good batter?

I saw a question earlier today asking about the two positions, I was more good at pitching than swinging the bat. I could really pitch and strike people out.

Being a good pitcher is WAY WAY more important than being a good batter. The rest of the team can make up for your lost hits but a great pitcher is irreplaceable
