I'm reflecting on the people in my life who I've had to let go of.

For many and varied reasons but primarily because they were toxic and slowly poisoning me.
There was one friend in particular and I still think of her even when I don't want to.
She stole meds, jewelry and money from me and to top it off left a syringe in my parent's bathroom when we were both staying there. Luckily I found it first.
I wrote her a lengthy letter explaining why we could no longer be friends and she accused me of ruining her life.
Have you had to eject someone or some people from your life for your own wellbeing?

Yes. Sometimes it's the best thing to do. Your former friend sounds like a drug addict. They are like people in an old sci find movie who've had their brains taken over by evil aliens. You did the right thing. Stick with it.

@greenmountaingal She was indeed an addict. No, a junkie. And there's a massive difference. She stole and cheated and swindled to obtain her drugs.

@Cavedweller This is typical of addicts/junkies, also alcoholics and gambling addicts. They lose their empathy yet demand endless empathy from others.

@greenmountaingal And humanity. And their ethics/morality take a beating too.

@Cavedweller And if you attempt to protect yourself from them, they act like YOU are cruel and heartless.

@greenmountaingal That's a sociopath through and through.
