The truth is it is public opinion as to whether he actually did it or not and nothing was ever proved nor disproved (when something is put out there on the news and especially in the popular social medias , public opinion forms very quickly...especially when someone famous is involved). Do I believe he was guilty or innocent? I cannot say one way or another because I didn't know him or any of his "victims" and I haven't seen any of the evidence for or against. That said...What he did or did not do in his personal private life had no (and still doesn't have any) bearing on the music and entertainment he put out there. Add to that, the man is dead and that incident was years ago, it makes no sense to keep rehashing it.
