Have you ever been around a person who said they don’t believe in God but....
Used the phrases such as “oh my God” or “thank you Jesus” and “hallelujah” or referred to angels in some way. I was very confused as you can imagine.

Mostly it's people who used to believe in religion. I was a Christian and I was made to read Bible and recite prayers by heart which I know till date. My boyfriend is Christian and I still go to church and recite prayers with him, so that he doesn't feel alone. It's out of habit that sometimes I say, 'Jesus' or 'Oh my God'. It's more like a phrase to me.

@JBird I was taught to not force anything on anyone of different faith. Usually if they are not open to any change you’re suppose to let it go and pray that they’ll find their way but ya know to each their own. If they don’t want to believe then they just simply don’t want to. If you come across a Christian who won’t give it a rest just walk away. Don’t argue it won’t solve anything. Don’t put all Christians in that category.

@LireaSemaji reading the comments, do you think I started the argument? I was being respectful yet Christians always find a way to pick up a bone with me? Why are Christians blaming atheists? What about the question? It's kind of both generalising and judging atheists. We chose a way and leave us alone with that.

They use the similar phrase out of habit. That's why I said 'mostly'. I am very sorry if that offended you. I will try not to use any religious phrase and I will tell my non religious friends not to use it too in case it offend your fragile religious ego. 😂
