Portugal has decriminalized all drugs for personal use. Guess what also declined? Addicts and crimes. We have a proven model, 10 years old now, I believe...we should follow suit.
And I also believe we need to stop seeing addicts as criminals and instead see that they need help.

Because alcohol causes far less deaths than heroin 🤷♂️. Actually many other countries have a far smaller drug problem who have legalized it all.

It's because of the effects those drugs have. alcohol is more socially accepted, and alcohol isn't as addictive as cocaine.

Yes. Just think of the amount of criminal activity today would disappear overnight. So why don't we?

They tried to but I am sure you know your history as to why it didn't work. 😆

They should but keep asking questions and you’ll see why it is that way

It shouldn’t be banned because people make great wine out of it.

No valid reason, I will never support the banning of Alcohol
FastGirl · F
I think that's called rationalization

Alcohol is a naturally occurring substance tho

Decriminalize everything and everything will lose its appeal

[@this is actually a tactic many other countries use and it works
bijouxbroussard · F
Not really because it’s by degrees. Cocaine, heroine, all were legal in the U.S. at one point. And like alcohol, they were banned. But with alcohol the ability to acquire or make it was easier to regulate and the damage it did to a majority of people seemed negligible (by comparison). Similar to why pot is legal in some states now.

I don't think anything like that should be illegal. It's called freedom.
