@SW-User Its pretty conservative...at least where I grew up it was conservative...you can't have any tattoo parlors inside city limits...cuz you know, they think people with tattoos is just going to poison the town.

@SW-User Chula Vista and San Diago are probably the closest.

@SW-User it's beautiful but there are dangers and problems. It is one of the states with very high domestic violence and rape. There is also the extreme light shifts which are super bad if you are like me and have mood issues.

I was born in Sitka and lived in Juneau until I was 11 or so, then we moved to the kenai peninsula. As an adult lived in Anchorage for about five years before I moved to oregon.

Anchorage is not a city in which I would be excited to live again. Homelessness and crime are pretty serious issues for the size of the city. It's especially dangerous to be a woman.
