@GJOFJ3 Because we're used to it here, and because it's mostly poor people in low income neighborhoods. And we generally tend to think of them as less important, and it upsets me a great deal.

@GJOFJ3 Chicago is an interesting dichotomy. On the one hand, we have some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. On the other hand, it's WAY easier to buy a gun here than anywhere else I've been in America. I bought a handgun when I was 15 years old, and an illegal immigrant. I paid cash money and had no waiting period. I walked out of the store with a loaded weapon.
