@Girlyfriendcollecting Yup. Explains my laziness too. 🙄

@JoyfulSilence I assume you are referring to your job? It's so hard to be a perfectionist. And I don't even like to use the term, bc I think people think it means "I think I'm perfect"--but, far from it. I wish I were someone entirely different...

@ItsJustMeAgain
I am a perfectionist about many things, yet I admit I am a slob about a lot of things, too.
I think perfectionists think they are inadequate, which is why they try so hard and are picky. But they can never live up to their own standards.
If somebody things they are perfect, then they have accepted things, rather than keep trying to do better. For a perfectionist, the saga never ends. They keep tinkering until they find something new to fuss over, or get exhausted.

@BeefySenpie It was literal for me, growing up. It's deeply ingrained and idk how to get rid of it.

How do you get better at it if you don't try?
ItsJustMeAgain · 51-55, F
@Bushmanoz Yeah. I suppose this explains why I don't like to do things im not good at...
Bushmanoz · 61-69, M
@ItsJustMeAgain Dont let a lack of confidence stop you doing things, the people you see that do things that look incrediby difficult usualy started off just doing the best they could
ItsJustMeAgain · 51-55, F
@Bushmanoz I appreciate that. Thank you.
