@BlueMetalChick The number of deaths is about 15,000 a year (in the US). Since 2000 the number of deaths is approximately 270,000 in the US, caused by gun violence. Twice the population of Dayton, Ohio.
[edit: Considering these numbers, mass shootings are almost irrelevant. A woman killed by her own husband is much more typical.]
