How come some autistic/Asperger's people feel left out?

I have an autistic cousin and she said most people in our family leave her out of things. Our cousins leave her out. I'm basically the only one that hangs with her. I feel so bad for her. She is 20

At least she can talk. Some can't. Talk to your cousins about it.
@RosaDawn yes, for them....it can drive them to madness😔

@BoobooSnafu Madness?

We have 2 in my family. Severe autism. They dont talk. They like to play alone most of time.

@RosaDawn Not the same I know, but sometimes it's probably right to just let them go about their own thing. Why I say not the same, somewhere my friend, knew when he found out his younger brother running down the street down town in a small community naked, at 15, that's just Stephen.

@SW-User True! Rigth on.

Also a smell can incomodate them, some dont want to eat. Many little things. And its all depend.
@RosaDawn my son used to bash his head against the door jam because he couldn't get across what he wanted to communicate.

And I refused to accept to leave him in his room all the time.

Come hell or high water - I was going to find a way that he could come into the world and be part of it.

And it took us seven years.... But we did it.
He can't talk well, but enough to get across his needs and wants.💜

@RosaDawn I won't be intimate of those details, entirely. Thank you in that share. In some way that makes sense, as smell often is the first direct response in emotion.

@BoobooSnafu Ohhh okay I took your word madness at first degree.

Yes.
@RosaDawn well, it was getting that way...he was getting to the point that he wpuld scream if anyone, including myself, would come near him.
