What kind of phone was your first cell phone?

My Son in law thought I needed a mobile phone. It had 'hours of minutes' so it seemed. But it was huge. Enormous. and heavy. That was years ago. I am now with Metro PCS. Nothing complicated or fancy. And if I have a problem, they are just around the corner from me.
