Why do people block without giving any reasons?

@DeWayfarer exactly they like it here because they simply block the ones they dislike, or the ones that aren't like they want..
In rl you have to deal with them even if you don't want to, but here they feel that freedom.

While someone may like you another wouldnt. They don't need to tell you specifically... 😌
I only worry if a friend blocks me.

@bowman81 Why even be on the site? I have heard of those that have used all 500 blocks and are begging for more. It's those that I really question! They rarely ever give a reason as well.

I am not talking about isolated cases which your rape case is one. I talking as internet etiquette. If it was an isolated case you would have a point. Yet it is no longer isolated.

People here are blocking for no reasons at all. Some are blocking for insane reasons. Some are blocking so much that they have used all 500 blocks and are begging for more blocks. And all that on an anonymous site where they know just what kind of people are on it.

Not all of them are rape cases. Not all of them are mentally unstable. A few yes. Yet most don't have a real reason. Yet the netiquette for most should be to give some kind of reason even if it is "I don't like you" for whatever reason.

This is what I consider civilized behavior on the internet or "netiquette".

Netiquette has been on the way out ever since the late 90's when usenet began to decline in poultry. My general point still holds good though. Nobody should ever be required to explain themselves to every stranger they ever make a decision over. In real live maybe... but then in real life you don't encounter 1000 different people in the space of a single day. @DeWayfarer

@ThePerfectUsername Now that IS really really sad. Because I was a huge fan of netiquette on USENET. In fact I had some minor influence on it.
