@XReaganX uuhm da fuck? hell no. you're being kept as their possession. with a leash on you thats called "family", when yo uhave an abusive father he isn't you r father anymore he is abuser, if you have a terrible abusive mom its the same and so on with any member in any ay where they hurt you significantly or abuse you. you being from the same dna or blood makes no difference.
FILTH IS FILTH. NO MATTER WHO THEY CLAIM TO BE OR HOW THEY ARE CONNECTED TO YOU!
@TopCat so its not that big of a problem if you care for them decently. so its a bit like those families in america when blacks were slaves but some were pretty much just people who work for them and seen as human and not as somethign less?
thats a lie. until now theres not any system thats not tempting.
@popmol it's not just about that. being a slave you loose many aspects of freedom, freedom of speech for example. Of course you cannot express yourself as you would like through speech or any other art form. That's how capoeira arrived though too, to show people that when there is a will there is a way :) But still, you loose many freedoms. You cannot go anywhere you want, you cannot do whatever you want, you have to live under certain rules, and even if you have a kind master, it is like a religious sect whereas people obey in their spiritual teacher. But they choose that, it didn't just came upon them. That last thing I've said, that i think makes all the difference. Basically in slavery people are made to do things they didn't choose to, so our so called free will ceases to exist in many areas. Even what you want to eat, as a slave perhaps you can't have the choice of that..
@being aah yes they loose those freedoms :) well yeah i mean eventually you'd be able to dig a tunnel through stone with a spoon if you put yourself up to it! but even then. it takes ages.
so you're saying most forms of modern slavery, as in sect religion, modern day work force have all one thing in common which makes it different from real slave trade and thats the freedom to choose? to be enslaved or not?
I would keep being a slave.. where there is life there is hope.. without life there's no hope.. so I would keep plotting, planning and trying to escape.. or, if I couldn't escape I would find ways to make life a little better, a little easier if at all possible.
@popmol indeed, but that's probably what separates people.. survivors and non.. there are those who never lose hope.. I think that there was something somewhere that highlighted that those with optimism fared better in prisoner of war camps etc.. SLavery, real slavery is evil... but if you can keep your spirit that's a good thing..
@Adaydreambeliever well but in war its different! i mean in war its just waiting, if the one on your side win you have a big chance of going free but if they don't you're doomed but if theres no war or incentive to free you then you're doomed.
@easterniowegin its one of the most terrible things in the world, people who are empty shells of their former self, while being worked to the bones on minimal food or none at all, or barely kept alive to keep working till they die or slowly just killed by not having anything they require to live, torture and more. death would be more pleasant.
@popmol I'd like to think that in a situation where someone was looking to enslave me, I'd fight to the death to keep it from happening. I'd never get to the point of enslavement, in this lifetime.
@PhoenixPhail yes yes, everyone is a modern day slave. we all know, this will probably never change until we become perfect beings where we evolved to a point where we don't need clothes, are resilient to any decease and we just live on fields where we hang out all day.
