Not sure what site those are being sold on, but on eBay I always use a proxy bid for something I really want.

@TJNewton I just figure out in advance how badly I want the item, i.e. what I'm willing to pay at most, and set my proxy bid to stop there. Keeps me from bidding more than I said I would in that last minute frenzy for it, lol
